February 22, 2016

This week was a good week. We worked a lot with members again.  Sunday Gabriel, Bruno, Martina, Ivo, and Benjamin came to church. They are all good kids. And kids they are. All of the adults we invite have a hard time changing their lives and committing to something they haven't done for 20 to 50 years. So teaching your kids the gospel when they are little is a pretty big deal. I started the good book again and I like how in the first verse it says that Nephi was taught by his parents to be a good kid. Helped him become the prophet he was.

The rains came down and the lights shut off. That's the story of BellVille. If there is a lot of heat or it rains the lights shut off and it sucks.  It's super humid here and if you are sitting in the pension without air you suffocate.

Everything is going good here.  Lots of people to teach. We have a broadcast from Elder Bednar here Wednesday so all the zones come here and we will get to listen to Bednar in Buenos Aires creo.

Love you guys, love the mission. Wish you the best.

Con amor

February 15, 2016

Hey Ma!

This week was the first week of the new transfer. My new comp is Elder Hansen from Idaho. He's a cool kid. Kinda like the 5A version of me.  Plays football, had a mullet, played basketball. Ha and every other thing too.

We had a good week. We are working a lot with members. They are going to a lot of lessons with us and that doesn't happen often. The branch loves us and helps us out a lot. Ha we are practicing for a district choir that will go on it a few months. I think I'll be here, haha it's fun to learn to sing. Maybe I'll try out for Glee or something when I get back hahaha.

We went to Villa Maria and Villa Nueva this week for interviews. Mine turned out good but the one my comp went to wasn't there so only 2 baptisms this week.

Romina is super cool. She was lead to the church by an ex missionary boyfriend about 2 years ago. Ha ex ex I guess now. Her interview was cool. The spirit is awesome. Weird to think that I am acting as a representative of Christ to preform an interview. It's a real special thing.  At the same time it always makes you think of how it will be when it's actually Christ offering the interviews. Don't think there is much difference but we over look that a lot.

Got the two packages you sent. The Christmas one and the Valentine's one from Argentina.

Still in the same area.
Investigators-
Walter, son of a less active family.
Soledad. Sister of Antonela, the recent convert
Luciana, 20 year old, old investigator.
Peñalba Family, friends of Flie Sosa, aka less active family.
Gabrial. Old investigator of 14 years
Bruno and his sister Martina. 12 and 9 year olds, friends of Gabrial.
Selena, 14 year old grand daughter of a recent convert.
Alejandra and her son Hans, old investigators

Those are some of the bros we have. Pray for them.  They all are cool.

Love you and hope Valentine's went good. Thanks for letting me know what went down this week.

Talk to you next week.

Sup fam.

Here in Bellville is pretty dope..

That's the best way to put the area so far. The members are super nice and I guess my talk made them accept me haha. The ward is the best ward I've had since I've got here. I was freaking out about the baptism last night cause we hadn't had a lot planned but it's cause the mission leader here does it and had everything ready. So it makes the work a lot easier when people fulfill their callings. Just helped me see that the church is like a body and works well when all the leaders are fulfilling their callings the church progresses a lot faster.

This week we went to Leones and helped the hermanas there find some news and animate them a little more. We had a meeting with the district presidente. Some super spiritual lessons with Antonela. Also i broke my leg.... No jk haha that would suck. But those were the main things that happened this week.

Tonight we will go to Cordoba for concilio tomorrow. I think a 70 is here from Buenos Aires so maybe something cool will happen.

Also I ate huevos de un buey.. look it up.. and intestines. (mom here-looked it up- eggs of an ox.  I should not have looked it up. haha)

Sorry this is short, love you guys and have a great week.

Juan's brother that made us an asado.... haha that day I ate cow testicles and intestines... yes testicles. If you didn't know the meat is soft, almost like butter haha
